Last week end, we went to the harvest festival in the Rukai village of Taromak and in the Puyuma village of Chulun, close to Taitung. Here is the first batch of pictures from Taromak (Danan village in Chinese). A second batch is following after. The Taromak people danced and sang the whole day and night. Families were watching from the side where bewerage and food were served. A men’s house had been recreated, with carved panels representing the ancestors, as a memory from the former house that disappeared in a fire few decades ago. The huge swing is formed by four bamboo poles linked together, in respect of  the tradition. I will try to add more comments later.
