Well, my wife has found a new job in China, and all the family is going to follow her there. Yes, I will leave Taiwan in August, after 15 years on this island, and move to Shanghai. A whole new exciting adventure that will surely influence the future of this collection.

First, I will not be able to update it as often as before, because it will be more difficult for me to find new pieces from Shanghai.

Second, all the 250 pieces of the collection are given on loan to the Shisanhang Museum of Prehistory, in the Taipei district. The museum is going to display part of it every year, so that you can see the pieces.

Despite these changes, the Yang-Grevot Collection will continue to exist and will be in constant evolution.

Thanks for your support

Nicolas Grevot

[couleur=#c63800][font=Tahoma]I am new to this forum, and the first post I read says the Boss is leaving. Great. Happy Shanghai!
I wanted to thank you for solving a problem. (I am American, have lived in Wulai for a dozen years)For rambling and working in the mountains, I find the Tayal laraw (番刀, headhunting knife)ideal. However, it is a heavy knife, and I have had trouble with the waistbelt slipping. On your beautiful site, I found a Tayal knife holder with a notched 'buckle.' Euraka! I made one for myself out of teak, and it works beautifully. It holds the laraw securely and doesn't slip ~ so I am making more for my other knives and for my wife's, too.
Mhaway su balay!
