The Austronesian Culture Festival in Taitung will fall around the 20th of July, this year. Groups and delegations from the Pacific and Austronesian world are going to meet in this quiet and nice city, on the south-east coast of Taiwan.

A couple of days before, around the 19th if I remeber well, it will be the Harvest Festival of the Rukai tribe, in the Taromak village, few minutes away from Taitung.

So if you have the time, this a great opportunity to know more about the austronesian people in Taiwan. Myself, I think I will go.
